About

Shepherds Rest is a self-catering holiday cottage that adjoins the farmhouse on a working sheep and arable farm in the heart of the Herefordshire Countryside.

There are breathtaking views across open countryside to Ledbury, the Malvern Hills and beyond.

The space

Shepherds Rest is a characterful cottage with many oak and elm beams and the original bread oven. As you enter through the stable door you are greeted by an open plan kitchen lounge diner. From the table you have views across to the malvern hills and in the lounge area you’ll find a decorative bread oven adding character to the space. Off this room there is a small downstairs room containing a chest of draws and wardrobe which can be used for extra storage or a quiet reading or working space.

The cottage comfortably sleeps two with an open plan bedroom upstairs containing a four poster bed and a mezzanine overlooking the lounge. From the bedroom you get breathtaking views across to the Malvern Hills. Off the bedroom is a comfortable bathroom containing toilet, basin and a shower over the bathtub.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to use the garden areas.

Getting around

Car required. Plenty of parking on site and at local attractions. Plenty of undercover secure space for bikes and electric bikes.

Other things to note

Shepherds Rest is conveniently located if you are attending a wedding celebration at either Homme House or Hellens Manor in the village of Much Marcle.

The local pub The Walwyn Arms is within walking distance (1 mile approx downhill and uphill on the return) serving local cider and food. Westons Cider is a short walk away (just under a mile) with the Scrumpy House restaurant where you can get breakfast and lunch and supper on Thursday and Saturday evenings.

We are dog friendly but please do note that Shepherds Rest is located on a working sheep farm so your furry friends will need to be kept under close control at all times.

We look forward to your stay.
